Why, you may ask? Because a very important year is steadily approaching me, and I need to summon up more focus than I mustered last year. With SATs and AP classes attacking me from all sides and all angles, I have little margin for error and I cannot afford to lose focus like I did last year (I could have done better in Chem H, whereas I barely snuck out an A- in the class-- still constitutes as an A, but I'd rather be on the safer side if anything, you know?).

I'll be taking a leave-- break starting tomorrow night, after I hear from the responses about the requests I just finish. I really hope everyone liked what I made for them, because I put a lot of thought into those pictures, with an aim to please.(:
But you know, if I don't get a response by tomorrow, then oh well.

You won't be hearing from me for ...maybe a good school year's worth of time, unless I'm cruising through my classes and extracurricular activities with no problem. I mean, sure, there's winter break and all, but I'll probably be prepping for next semester or my AP exams-- SATs as well. (Fucking shoot me now.) I've already stowed away all of my Pokemon games, moved my picture files onto a CD and gave it to my brother to keep it away from me, and I've already sorted through my room to put away any more things that might evoke my obsessions.

I guess you should say I've locked the fangirl within me behind cold, hard iron bars.

Am I throwing away my love for art? Not at all. I want to stop drawing anime-style, and work on realism, because sooner or later, I'm going to try and pursue my dream to work in a field of art. I don't want to play sports, or make video games, but I want to work in the art industry that relates to multimedia (movies, games...etc) because it's what I want to do. No way am I sealing my pencils and paintbrushes and Photoshop-- those things, are what keep me going and are the very things that take my mind off of petty social issues and life woes.

Anyways. I'll see you around next summer, I suppose. Or maybe in small intervals throughout the upcoming year-- if I get lucky. Which I highly doubt, seeing as how teachers love to target our misery and ripen it some more by hoarding us with homework and tests. Very sad face.
